About Lisa Nelson

Lisa Nelson is a published author, advocate, mentor, and passionate voice for those navigating life’s challenges with courage and resilience. Her book, Unpredictable Pain, Unbreakable Spirit, shares her deeply personal journey through chronic illness, mental health struggles, healing, and hope, while shining a light on the realities of living with invisible illness.

Living with fibromyalgia and chronic pain transformed Lisa’s life and inspired her to not only tell her story, but also help others feel seen, understood, and supported. Through her writing, advocacy, and online presence, she aims to raise awareness, create meaningful conversations, and remind people that they are never alone in what they are facing.

A Life of Purpose, Family, and Freedom

Beyond her work as an author, Lisa is passionate about personal growth, wellbeing, freedom, and helping others explore smarter ways to create financial security and a more balanced life. Her journey led her to rethink the traditional path and build a lifestyle that allows space for healing, family, purpose, and flexibility.

At the heart of everything Lisa does is family. She is a devoted wife, mum, grandmother, sister, aunty, and great aunty who treasures connection, love, and creating meaningful memories with those closest to her. Together with her husband David, she embraces a life centred around freedom, travel, personal growth, and living with intention.

Whether she is writing, mentoring, advocating for fibromyalgia awareness, or simply sharing encouragement through her platforms, Lisa leads with authenticity, compassion, and heart. Her mission is to inspire others to believe that even after life’s hardest moments, it is still possible to rebuild, heal, and create a beautiful life filled with hope and purpose.

Our Satisfied Readers

"I've underlined half this book. Lisa writes like someone who's actually been in the dark — not someone describing it from the outside."

Emma & Emy Readers

"I read the first chapter at 2am after a flare-up I couldn't sleep through. By the end of it I was crying — not because it was sad, but because someone finally got it. I've never felt less alone."

Randy Readers

"I was diagnosed with chronic illness three years ago and spent most of that time trying to get my old life back. Lisa's book is the first thing that gave me permission to build a new one instead. I needed that more than I knew."
